A delegation from the Airlangga University of Indonesia has visited the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) to discuss renewal of collaboration in the areas of research, capacity development and publications.
During the visit, the delegation, headed by Dr. Nisful Laila, Vice Dean for Research and Cooperation, Faculty of Economics and Business, highlighted the previous joint activities between the two institutions and ways of deepening collaboration in various areas of mutual interest.
Dr. Laila explained that through the cooperation with IRTI, three international conferences were successfully organized and held in the university over the past years. She added also that IRTI’s publications have been among the major components of the literature used in teaching Islamic economics and finance in the university.
IRTI assured of its readiness to strengthen the partnership with the university in the areas of innovative Islamic finance research and capacity development. Towards this end, IRTI and the university will work together to renew the memorandum of understanding that was previously signed by the two institutions.
