Chairman of Indonesia’s Nusantara Capital City Authority, Dr. Bambang Susantono, who is also a Member of the Islamic Development Bank Institute (IsDBI) Board of Trustees, visited the IsDBI on 6 December 2022.
During the visit, Dr. Susantono shared his experience with IsDBI Management Team on effectively deploying knowledge solutions for development. In his previous role, Dr. Susantono was the Asian Development Bank’s Vice-President for Knowledge Management and Sustainable Development.
Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, Acting Director General of IsDBI and Group Chief Economist, welcomed Dr. Susantono to the Institute and thanked him for accepting to serve on the Board of Trustees. He also welcomed sharing experiences with Dr. Susantono, given his vast experience in knowledge management, which is one of the Institute’s major focus areas.
Dr. Susantono noted that the role of the knowledge beacon of IsDB Group places a significant responsibility on the Institute of closing the gap between development projects and knowledge. He shared various ideas on effectively generating, curating, and deploying knowledge for the success of development programs.
He commended IsDBI’s accomplishments and future vision, and advised the Institute to continue to leverage and expand its partnerships to achieve greater impact.
Dr. Susantono said the Capital Authority welcomes potential partnerships with the Institute in the area of innovation. The Nusantara Capital City Authority is responsible for implementing Indonesia’s future capital city now under development.
In his response, Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem said the Institute would continue to engage with Nusantara Capital City Authority and provide support for its success.
