The Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group has participated in the Government of Dubai’s Future Blockchain Summit, organized by the Dubai World Trade Center.
The summit, held on 2-3 April 2019, was convened as a platform to identify and understand the potential of blockchain and its applications, both regionally and internationally.
During the summit, Dr. Hilal Houssain, Senior Financial Product Development Specialist at IRTI, delivered a speech on “Embracing Blockchain & Crypto-based Value: Sharia-Compliant Tools for Islamic Financial Institutions”.
The summit brought together a global pool of technology visionaries, government agencies, some of the world’s biggest brands, and industry first-movers to push blockchain forward and champion its adoption on a global scale.
