A delegation of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan (IIAU) led by the Rector, Mr. Shuhrat Yovqochev, has visited the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) to discuss potential areas of collaboration in Islamic Finance capacity development.
The delegation was received by the Acting Director General of IRTI, Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, along with other management staff of the institute.
Areas of possible cooperation discussed include provision of training to the academy’s staff in the areas of Islamic Economics, Islamic Finance and Islamic tourism.
Dr. Al-Suwailem expressed IRTI’s readiness to cooperate with the academy to support its efforts in the area of the Islamic Economics and Finance.
The IIAU rector had earlier explained the academy’s desire to develop programs in Islamic Economics and Finance to help provide human capital for the Islamic financial industry in Uzbekistan.
