Within the scope of its mandate of fostering the use of Islamic finance for development, the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) has collaborated with the Indonesian Hajj Fund Management Agency (BPKH) to train BPKH staff in different levels of knowledge of Islamic banking and finance.
As a result of the collaboration, IRTI has successfully implemented the second workshop on “Advanced Islamic Banking and Finance” for the agency’s senior staff, delivered during 4-6 November 2019 in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This followed the successful completion of the first workshop, which was conducted back in October 2019.
The training workshops were held within the framework of a broader collaboration between BPKH and the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
The second workshop covered three significant topics, namely Risk Management, Product Development and Global Islamic Leadership, with 19 participants from different levels of BPKH management.
In her remarks during the closing ceremony of the event, Dr. Hurriyah El Islamy, an executive board member of BPKH, expressed appreciation to IRTI management for the collaboration with the agency. The Acting Director General of IRTI, Dr. Sami Al-Suwailem, also appreciated the cooperation with BPKH.
