The Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI), a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, mourns the death of Dr. Muhammad Omar Al-Zubair, a former chairman of the Institute’s Academic Committee and the winner of the IsDB Prize in Islamic Economics in 1995.
The late Dr. Al-Zubair was one of the pioneers and prominent figures of Islamic economics, who had a great impact in establishing and leading many institutions and prestigious academic events.
On behalf of the IsDB Group, we extend our sincere condolences and sympathy to the family and loved ones of the late Dr. Al-Zubair, the employees of the IsDB Group, and all stakeholders of Islamic economics and finance.
We ask the Almighty Allah to forgive him and receive him in the place of the righteous with the foremost believers and martyrs.
